Privacy policy.

Creative Recess is a curated guide to creative workshops in the Philadelphia region. This page explains what information we collect when you visit the site, and what we do with it. We'll keep it plain.

What we collect and why

Analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics tool, to understand how people find and use the site. It is cookieless and stores no personal data, no IP addresses, and no cross-site tracking; it tells us which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. In addition, we log a small set of anonymous events (newsletter signups, contact form sends, outbound clicks, searches (including a ZIP code or town you search to find workshops nearby), and filter use) to our own Supabase database so we can understand which content is useful. These events do not include personal information.

Newsletter signups. If you sign up for the Creative Recess newsletter, we collect your email address. We use it to send you the newsletter, nothing else. We use Buttondown to manage subscriptions. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send. We do not sell or share your email address.

Contact form. If you send us a message via the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use it only to respond to you. Messages are processed by Formspree.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. Umami is cookieless, and our own event logging does not use cookies. We don't use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. Your browser's local storage may hold small preferences (for example, whether you've dismissed a signup prompt); that data never leaves your device.

Third-party links

Creative Recess links to venue websites and workshop registration pages. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply, not ours. We don't control what those sites collect.

Your rights

If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we've collected and to request deletion. Since we collect very little (just your email if you signed up, or a contact message), this is straightforward. Get in touch with any requests.
